I owned a sanger v210 before and loved it. In my search for another V210 I came across a very nice Supra Launch DD for about the same money. Not sure if i would be bummed later about going from a v-drive to a DD but that boat certainly seems extremely roomy. Also how do the wakes compare. The supra does have the stock 800# ballast system in it and I would put a 600# sac in the floor of the sanger.
Thank you

From what I've read the Launch freeboard is soo much deeper than the 210. You can put a bunch of ballast in it. I think that the older Supra Launch was pretty wide and roomy for a DD.

What year boats are they?

supra 2003 and the sanger is a 2000 but sanger has not changed their hull or layout in years on the v210.

The 03 Launch has a 98 inch beam over Sangers 90. I'm sure I'm in the minority around here but I'm a fan of the DD's when they're sub 21ft. I like the way the seating spreads people out so they're not sitting knee to knee like some of the smaller V-drives. I think the Supra would feel like a much bigger boat. Just my .02

I had a 2002 DD supra abd put 2700 pounds of ballist in is and the wake was sick . I loved my DD Supra. Also supra has a wake plate to sahpe the wake to what you lke not sure if Sangers have those....

V210 is an awesome wake boat. It doesn't require a lot of extra ballast to get a great wake and if you want to wakesurf a v drive is the only way to go.

is 17k a decent deal for a Supra Launch DD with about 360 hours?
thank you

TY 17K is a steal of a deal for that boat. 360 is nothing.

I bought my 01 launch DD with 325 hrs 3 years ago for 24. So yeah great deal.

I completely agree with both Brians. the wake is awesome. and i personally like the supra DD seating better as well.

Do that deal, im telling you that is a great deal.

Sue, I have no personal experience but what most people love about the Sanger V210 is it doesn't need hear the weight to throw an awesome wake as new boats. From what I have read most people are running 1500-2000 pounds total ballast at the most.

Also I have read the Supra Launch direct drive will throw a good wakesurf wake.

i loved my old sanger v210 but you have to be a little cautious wakesurfing as the freeboard is very low. there were more than a few times when i watched water slide over the top of the clamshell storage in the rear when turning to pick up someone. that was terribly unnerving.

the problem that I have with direct drives is the lack of storage in the boat.. you have gear spread all over the place and the boat becomes a jungle gym to move around the boat

Been behind that Supra and no doubt the wake will be there when weighted, but I'm not a fan of any boat with a noisy vinyl hump in the middle of it with limited storage if I had a decent v-drive option.

At around $17k you may find some other '00 to 02 v-drive options out there too.
