I just installed the HSE Volume Control unit this weekend and it rocks. It was easy to install and it works great right out of the box.

Thx Jim, great product!!!

I second the motion, thing works great. Now I just gotta break the habit of reachin for the controls like an idiot all the time. Every time I just about get to the knob and the RVC beats me to it. Easy install, great product, Thanks Jim!

I just ordered mine last Friday from Boardersmall. Now maybe the wife will actually let me hear my tower speakers when I ride without getting too stressed :-)

Joe-you can get them direct from HSE or Boardersmall. On the HSE site here is also some local dealers listed.

Ben, My wife never turned up the stereo for me either. Now with the HSE, I finally get to listen to the music too!

I've had mine for about a year and don't know what I would do without it.

Stewart- She is fine on the lakes, but seldom lets me turn it up on the Delta :-) Sounds like the HSE should do the trick (Nice)

I've had mine sitting in my desk at work, no need to hurry installing it as it snowed today, but now I'm excited to get it after seeing that video.

Ok if you have a scale, 1 being completely ignorant and 10 being an electronic guru. Where would the install of HSE fall? BTW i am about a 3.

I am not sure how to read your ? Steven. I'd say on a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being damn near impossible to install and 10 you could do it with your eyes closed. I'd say an easy 9. It is color coded correctly to match the wires at the back of your deck. If you can cut and crimp wire then you can install it. The only trick is finding the tach wire and Jim can even send you a picture of what wire to splice into. It took me a total of about 30 minutes to install.

I'm guessing this doesn't work very well for surfing then since it is RPM driven?
Old     (hatepain)      Join Date: Aug 2006       02-11-2009, 6:39 AM Reply
No because as you accelerate your RPM's go up...even when surfing.

It works perfect for wakesurfing. You can set your RPM where you want it to come on. This is totally adjustable at any time. You can also adjust how much the volume turns down.

It works well for surfing and wakeboarding. It is a product that works very well. I realize how much I take it for granted on my boat each time I drive a friends boat with out it. I am so use to it on my boat that I forget how well it works sometimes.
