I need some advice on board length. I'm sold on the liquid force Watson but I feel that i'm in between the 134 and 138. I'm 5'10" and weigh 165 lbs. Any advice? What are the pros and cons of a longer/ shorter board?

Go bigger. more pop.

get the 138. its a great size for you and it being a little bigger will give you more pop as well as making the board have less drag. smaller board it is harder to ride because of the weight unlike a snowboard.

in all honesty, i am about the same ht/wt and I would easily go for 142. Bigger boards are smoother, give more lift and disperse landings better. The arguement that a bigger board is harder to spin is not that valid considering you have more time to spin with the extra height. Oh and it wasn't till I moved up to a 143 that i landed my first t/s 720.

I agree with tom, 142 for sure.

I am also 5'10, and also weigh 165 lbs haha.

I went with a 134 ibex, and wish I would have went with the 137.

I rode a 142 watson for a set this summer and it felt huge. I would go with the 138 if it were me.

Matthew, you'll feel at home on the 138, feel like you are slogging with the 134, and in my opinion, *may* 'grow into' the 142. Not so much in terms of physically growing, but in terms of your wakeboarding skills. That said, my last board was a 138 Transcend (5'11", 160) and I wouldn't change anything about it. (well, I'd rather have the '09 than the '07...but you know what I mean :-)

wow thanks a lot guys, I guess I was crazy to consider such a small board. I just always figured I could get more tech with a smaller deck, but hey bigger sounds better. Thanks a lot
