I have a 2000 Wakesetter (Escape) that has molded coolers under the bow seats. I never use them and am thinking of cutting them out to make room for more ballast in the nose. Anyone have experience or any suggestions on how to do this? How much more room is under those coolers? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I don't have them, but I would probably put fat sacks inside them instead of cutting them out. If you want to sell your boat later, that would probably be the best bet. Then you can also take the sacks out and sell them or move them to the new boat.

I cut out the cooler in my SAN 210 and put in a fly high integrated bow sac. Easy to do, just used a 4" cut off wheel on my grinder and cleaned it up with a dremel.

Hmm, I was thinking about the same thing in my MC, but it is the walkway floor cooler. Nice surfing pic, can't tell if that's my land lock and wake, or Paul's. Maybe see ya on the lake today, I'll call.

Chad,

I have the exact same boat, 2000 lsv escape. I would leave the cooler alone.

I have found that the wake is the sweetest with 375 pounds on either side of the v-drive, 375 pounds in the center ski locker, 750 pounds on the floor and another 375 across the bow.

sounds like a pain, but I have 3 sacs plumbed and I only have to fill the other 2.

let me know if you have questions
