I'm looking for a weekend getaway. I'd like to find a lake that has the whole 9 yards without ever leaving the lake. Restaurants, cabins, fuel, nightlife, etc. all accessible from the water. Preferably I'd like to stay within 3-4 hours of Houston, but go ahead and throw anything out there.

Side note...we just returned from a long weekend at Lake Amistad. Awesome lake. Very worth the drive.

Try TSR cable wake park if you don't mind not riding behind a boat

Travis would be great but the water is way down. Check out lake austin, inks, or marble falls. They all have everything you are looking for.

Travis is too sketchy right now. Its way low. Lake Austin on the week days is about as flat as it gets. And there is night life and restaurants on both ends of the lake, and all in between.

LA is my home waters and it def. has a little bit of it all. You better be willing to wake up early if you want to ride butta on the weekend though; this time of year the wallies are everywhere.

We pretty much ride all week long, then let the kooks have the place on the weekend.

there is nothing on la north of city park but gators and snakes, and the occasional Somalian pirate.

My Secret Spot is about dried up so I was thinking of heading to Lake Austin for a week trip. Maybe camp at the city park or rent a house. Any advice?
