Alright, I am considering purchasing a 210 Team Edition but am at a loss with all the color options available. In your opinion, what is the best color scheme?

Here is the color selector site:

Had I gone with the 210, this would have been my choice...I picked the same colors on a VLX.

Mat:
Just took delivery of one, well sort of, the dealer is storing it for me until I get a lift in my dock and it warms up a bit. Anyway, the color scheme is probably one of the hardest decisions we had to make. I looked at a lot of used ones online to see what other people bought. I also called the folks at nautique in Orlando and they are very helpfull. I even asked them what were popular color combinations. Some things to keep in mind as told by the dealer. Dark colors will show scratches very quickly and easily. I think they look great keep that in mind. Of the two, I prefer the bottom one, as I said, I like dark colors. Again, this was the hardest decision we had to make. If I can be of any help with options or photos, let me know, I just went through all this. Good Luck

Hey Matt, who are you buying your Nautique from? I noticed you are from Cincinnati and I thought there used to be a Nautique dealer in Cincinnati but I haven't been able to find a listing for it. As far as colors I'm partial to any combination of red, black, and white being a Louisville alumn. I wish I had as many choices for hull color as you do when I bought mine. At that time it was either silver cloud(white) or neutral(beige).

I like the black hull with a white primary stripe. Then, throw a white tower on it and you are all set to go.

There was a Tangerine one at the Vans Triple Crown in Orlano back in September. Very nice...better than the normal black and white. Everyone loved it. I tried my best to remember what all the color options were...

Actually, I think the one at the Vans down here in Orlando looked like this (it is also the color they put on their brochure):

I downloaded a demo copy of CaptureEze Pro (from http://www.downloads.com). Once you install that program, just follow these steps:

1. Run CaptureEze
2. Click "Next" to take you to the "Capture and Preview" page
3. Select "A Rectangular Screen Area with Repeat" and then click "Activate"
4. Use your browser to create the color scheme you want at http://www.nautiques.com/air210color.swf
5. Once you have it created and that window in focus, click the PrintScreen button.
6. Use the cursor to select the area around the boat
6. That will capture the boat picture as an image... so then just save it to your harddrive
7. Upload it to WakeWorld for us to see...

Assuming you are using Windows, try pressing Alt-Print Screen. Then paste (Cntrl-V) the image into your photo editor of choice for cropping. (Alt-Print Screen captures the active window as an image on the clipboard and Cntrl-PrintScreen captures the whole desktop as an image).

Ok, well my way works well if you don't have a photo editor to crop the screen image...

Just a word on Nautiques with colored hulls. Once you order a colored hull you do not get a lifetime warranty on the hull. Don't ask me why,it's just their policy. Besides, it's harder to keep clean and trailer bunk scratches will be more prevalent.
Oh also, do not get the fiberglass swimdeck. It'll scratch up from your board fins and such and if you so happen to ding a dock or something it'll chip or scratch. Teak on the other hand, you can sand out and re-oil.

Humm, I have never heard of that Chris, regarding the warranty, I will need to look into it. I agree that dark colored hulls are harder to keep clean and show scratches, but lighter colors tend to be similar to the white.

Grant,
Try using this program, www.gadwin.com
I like it alot. You can either make a box around what you want or the entire window you are in. It automatically saves it to where you want and there is no need to mess with it in a seperate paint program.

Regarding the hull color, I hadn't heard that either. I contacted my dealer and he said that was correct.

What does hull color have to do with structural integrity? They aren't warranting the color!
Old    boozcruz33            02-05-2003, 4:19 PM Reply
Yeah, that doesn't seem to make any sense to me. The warranty doesn't cover the color-fastness/fading of the gelcoat anyway, so the color should have nothing to do with the warranty of the hull. That seems extremely odd if that is the case.

Okay....
I bought an Air Nautique two years ago, and now I just put a deposit down on a new Air Nautique 210 (aka Super Air).

When I bought my boat two years ago, a friend bought an almost identical boat. The primary difference was hull and seat colors. With our boart sitting side by side, I could tell exactly what the color did for/against you.

Results:
Hull color doesn't really matter, until you get that first scratch. Dirt shows up equally on dark as it does on white, but scratches blend into a white hull a little bit better (especially deep scratches).

Deck color and seat color: Lighter is better! Dark colors get hot in the sun. Nautiques have two color options for the seats, "silver cloud" and a grey color. My boat had silver cloud and were comfortable to sit on eve when the boat sat in the hot sun. Our friend's boat had the grey seats and they got HOT!

So, get the hull color what you want. Have the tower and bimini poles painted to match. Get the "silver cloud" deck and seat bottoms.

Hey Rod, show us the color combo you picked!
Old    boozcruz33            02-06-2003, 2:56 PM Reply
Ok, just to put this to rest...

The color of the hull has no effect on the warranty of the boat. Since the 5-year promise does not cover color fastness, a silver cloud hull has no better warranty than a black one. This also has no effect on the lifetime hull warranty.

I heard this straight from Southeast Correct Craft here in Orlando. I would think that if anyone knew this information, it would be them...

Hey Rod, did the dark hull show any trailer bunk marks more than the silver cloud hull?

Sahne: I have a Red hull and YES the trailer bunk marks show Way more than Silver cloud, You need to Dock you boat a diffrent way if you want to Avoid the long scratch marks that show up on the hull from driving you boat on to the trailer.
My friend has a silver cloud hull and He drives his boat on the trailer and It has scratch's but you can hardly see them. I have to put my trailer Very Deep in the water and float the boat over the trailer. And pull the trailer and power the boat and the trailer out at the same time.
