And what kind of premiums are you paying?

420 w/ allstate. 500,000 liability in Colorado. If someone has better, let me know please.

Not sure what my coverages were but on my 2004 Calabria Cal-Air I was paying 388 a year. That was with allstate as well. I am guessing my coverages were pretty high/good since there was a lien holder on the boat.

I use Ski Safe. They cover your boat for full replacement cost for the first three years. Cheaper than anyone else that I've found. The number is 800-255-6560 or www.skisafe.com

Ski Safe, underwritten by local agent.

All State was the most expensive I have priced or used. Ski Safe has been the cheapest with good flexibility of coverages vs price.

Steve, was it that much cheaper than what Kevin and myself were paying?

I also use skisafe. It was the least expensive I could find.

Mine is a little cheaper than that, but I am in insurance rape hell down here in the Gulf Coast. We have the highest rates for any insurance in the country.

One reason I also think skisafe comes in cheaper is they allow a "layup" period to shave some of the policy costs.

Used to have skisafe but Boaters Insurance Agency was by far the cheapest I found. Allstate was the most expensive, even though I have them for everything else, StateFarm was pretty cheap to but I hate that insurace company.

what a friggin joke. Does anyone have a good insurer in Canada/Alberta?

My Insurance agent uses Beacon and its about $700 per year for an 01 nautique. Keep in mind in Canada our season is May to September but they make you take coverage for the whole year

Im getting screwed big time

I'm really getting screwed by State Farm then. I have 3 cars, our house and our boat thru them. They're charging us about $750 a year for the boat.

Im using Boaters Insurance Agency. I'm currently paying (as i'm looking at the renew statement) $529/yr. The details are an agreed hull value(approx $40k) as well as some of the standard stuff you normally would get (esp. if you have an outstanding loan).

I'm going to shop the prices a little b/c i'd like to be approx. a 100-150 cheaper per year.

I'm just waiting for one of the insurance agents to come on here and tell everyone they are all idiots and price isn't everything there are so many other factors to take into consideration, blah, blah, blah, like the other boat insurance threads in the past.

I've been shopping my insurance and State Farm was high on the boat. But they were cheaper on the cars and the house. I also have a Seadoo and a fishing boat.

100/year with Safeco. It helps to have an older boat

i have all my other insurance through Farmers. when shopping for insurance for my new LSV, my farmer agent recommended the progressive quote. a bit cheaper, but more and better coverage standard.

i agree with nu bu, price isn't everything.

I just checked out Ski Safe and got a quote of $185/yr. Not bad. I agree with Eric, I guess that's one good thing about having an older boat.
