I don't understand why the Delta is so glorified, Isn't it one of the busiest, dirtiest places to ride? Nice Nautiques though, beautiful boats.

clear blue water it's not, but dirtiest? no.

busiest? in some places, yes. but the delta is over 1000 miles of waterways. you can always find a slough that's not busy. also, the delta is smooth almost year 'round.

Hey I'm just going by what people say about the place. I obviously haven't rode out there. Only east coast lakes. Jealous you got a place to ride this late in the season.

Yup- It's busy, dirty, hazardous. Best to stay away.

Damn it was a great day for mid Jan yesterday. As usual the company was great and the damn Delta served up perfect conditions.

Tom,

The 09 Transcend rides alot different than the 07, 08. Better in many ways. It is faster and I am still yet to determine if it lands softer. Right now I think it is pretty equal to last years. The changes to the tips and bottom have made it much more responsive and if you were border line (like I was) last year with riding it without fins or the short fins you will have to go finless. It will be a magnet to water with the long fins on.

I met some friends out of Buckley cove on the deep water channel and it was just like that for the most part. I figure another month or 2 of that then stay far away right?

But then again today I went to the river in Sac and it was just as nice but closer. Man that is just too nice, Except for the fact that I couldn't ride because of a torn up lower back. Oh well good to see everyone getting to play up here in Nor-cal.

Thanks Payton family for inviting the girls out on a beautiful weekend. I still can't believe it is winter. We again had a great time. It was a total plus having one of the kids pull off a new trick in January!

man I'm Jealous what a nice water but must be freezing cold without the dry suit.
Why the delta is the greatest? because you can always find good water and quiet place, but if you want too you'll find crazy and busy ( ski beach )
