Has anyone out there done this?

I have a slingshot board that is supposed to be able to use other brands bindings so I tried putting my Watson bindings on there and the holes don't line up. Just wondering if anyone else out there has had a similar problem or if they had success.

I have contacted both brands customer service departments and both departments are blaming the other product as the reason it is not working.

I had the same issue when I was trying to test out this guy's Slingshot at owc. My cells wouldn't fit on it so i tried my buddy's watsons and the holes didn't fit either. I'm not sure what the deal is, I think LF makes some spacers that might make it work but I'm not sure.

Yeah man I ride the reflex and just got the LTD watsons you need the 8'' plate to make it work.

Hope that helps!

Cool deal.

The problem is I have 2008 boots with the 7" wide hole pattern and the SS has the 8" hole pattern. It looks like those angle locks only work with the 09 boots that have the 6" hole pattern.

Odd, I have Cabs on my 08 response, and they bolted right up.

I actually put my 2009 Watson bindings (limited) on a Slingshot and it was fine....go a bit wider if they are not lining up....you should be out there anyway unless you are 4'2". That said, the LF pattern changed and there are some adapter plates you can get.

thats what i thought i remember hearing for the differences this year. i sent an email; to slingshot asking for all the nity gritty for and behalf of everyone

you can actually see the differences in the pictures alone. (look at the pink marks to guide your eye... see how the traditional mounting is squeezed closer to the 4 hole mounting?)

I got out my calipers and I figured out what the issue is.

Slingshot uses an 8 inch hole sizing, but they space there inserts
every 0.75 inch; instead of 1 inch like Liquid Force does.

Thus, when I tried bolting these bindings with a 7 inch hole pattern
to the board, the inserts are actually spaced 7.25 inches apart
(8-.75) which is why these bindings don't line up.

If I get 2009 base plates and retro
fit angle locks I would be able to solve my problem.

So the LF LTD bindings will fit on the 09 slingshot boards without adapters, you just have to go out wider? Please let me know if I have interpreted wrong
