I have been to ramps all over Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan. A vehicle that long would be aggravating trying to maneuver around a busy ramp. It's not the width, but the length and lack of visibility.

That is just my opinion though, if you can pull it off you have some skills for sure. When do you get the new boat?

Is the Z5 cargo bimini an option with this new tower?
The Z5 is one of my favorite features on my supra.

I'd guess it's plexi and that's the protective paper. Not sure though

There is supposed to be a Z5 option from what I have heard for this tower. I have not seen it yet.
The wind screen I am sure is just the protective coating that keeps the plexi from getting scratched up for shipping and delivery.

They will b useing this in the boat show so didn't touch much yet. Drive killer! Puts u right back in ur seat! Hits and takes waves great. Turns sharp too. Will more more time on it tomorrow and will try and get a video for how great it sounds! I had a 04 210,so this is crazy nice to me. ..the bus...I want to travel and its perfect for this!

Question to others who got the sa. Does it come with the full 2200lb ballast? Or just the hard tanks (900)?? Then u have to buy the rest of bags to get 2200??
Old     (koolwhip)      Join Date: Dec 2011       11-10-2012, 2:49 PM Reply
The SA comes standard with 900 lb hard tanks, but plug n' play is an extra option.

A fresh air exhaust will take care of most of that crazy sound problem you have.

Kinda crazy to spend $100k on a boat and not know the ballast setup..... One of the first things I would want/need to know.

Get the biggest bags you can fit, that's what the 550 is for! Sick boat. Going to be a good summer.

Agreed. This and the bus seems more like a baller than a boarder...
Sweet looking rig none the less!

Chris, if you didn't order your boat with the plug n' play you will probably need to have the overflow hoses installed by your dealer if you don't want to deal with pumps and bags all over the floor. There's plenty of room in the rear compartments to fit some larger bags also. I plan on replacing the the stock rear bags with some 750's and possibly throwing a 600 in the walkway when ours comes in

heres the deal. i thought it was comin with the whole 2200lbs..i even went to the worlds in wis and sat in the boat with ricks son for almost hour and half, talking bout how i wanted the boat to sit more than 10ppl,and he went into detain bout the whole reason is cause the 2200lbs ballast...so i accepted the 10 ppl for the 2200lbs...so it was dropped. now i have it and no bags.my deal has to look into this as they thought the same thing. do u think that at first it was "stock" 2200lbs with 10ppl..now they changed the rating to 13 ppl and removed the bags from being "factory"?..so they can say factory is 900 with 13ppl? well when i ordered it it was understood that it had the 2200,i think i should get it? agreeed?

I think for $100k (probably the most expensive Supra ever built), you should get whatever you want.

I think the worlds package should come with bags... Gravity games series come with special additional, right?
Old     (boardman74)      Join Date: Jul 2012       11-11-2012, 5:20 PM Reply
They usually come with more yes. Heck fat sac even sells the bags labeled gg sacs. You would think the worlds would have the same setup. They sure aren't using it with 900 lbs in it!!
Old     (501s)      Join Date: Feb 2010       11-11-2012, 7:13 PM Reply
I would definitely be expecting the full 2200lbs. 900lbs won't begin to do that boat or that motor justice. I'm sure Rick will make it right.
Old     (markj)      Join Date: Apr 2005       11-11-2012, 10:10 PM Reply
If you look down on the front of that boat, it looks like either the Mach 5 or the Batmobile. More Mach 5 than Batmobile. AWESOME!!!! Nice boat!

I'm sure rick and the rest of the crew will make this right. They have been more than great this far and I would refer anyone to them. And the boat is all I wanted and probably more with all the power. B great when we get more weight...sucks we have to wait a few months to try it now
Old     (Nordicron)      Join Date: Aug 2011       11-12-2012, 5:17 AM Reply
I think your on to something with the whole max weight rating an people thing. Thats prob why a lot of these boats only come with around that 1000lb mark for stock do they can keep the people rating up.
Old     (rickt)      Join Date: May 2002       11-12-2012, 5:45 AM Reply
Chris,

Have your dealer give me a call. Yes the boat is standard with Hard Tanks at 900. The Flex system is the add on for those who want over 2,200. We will get it worked out.

The capacity change is not related to this. The original 10 was miscalculated and should have been 13. It has since been corrected. That 13 includes the boat being at full 2,200 pounds, as well. !

Again, my apologies for the confusion.

Rick

Beauty!!! I spent some time digging around a white Worlds SA350 at the boat show this weekend. Really a sweet boat!!!!
Old     (bruizza)      Join Date: May 2009       01-14-2013, 12:56 PM Reply
So the SA450 at the Denver boat show had to be the most ridiculously overpriced boat at the entire show and that is saying something. It wasn't a worlds edition and was only a 450 and had a "boat show special" price of just a hair under $109k. Knowing that Chris on here had gotten his 550 for under 100k made it that much more ridiculous.
Old     (simplej)      Join Date: Sep 2011       01-14-2013, 2:02 PM Reply
That price is stupid but I'm quite impressed with the photos above, I just wish it was monocoque instead of shoebox and that the interior was a little more interesting but this may be my new favorite boat...
Old     (Houstonshark)      Join Date: Jan 2011       01-14-2013, 6:33 PM Reply
I absolutely love this boat! The only 2 things I would change (besides the stereo) is the location of the screen and all the toggle switches.

I can't imagine the screen being above the steering wheel is really the best place. Unless it is just a heads up display with the controls for it mounted remotely, it seems like it would be a pain to use or at the very least inconvenient.

As far as the toggle switches, I like having them and I can see how they would be very convenient but they just absolutely clutter up the dash. At the very least they should have been hidden behind a flip up or sliding door in their same locations. I just don't get it.

Those switches to kids are worse than dangling a Twinkie in front of a fat chick and expecting her to not tackle you for it.
Old     (simplej)      Join Date: Sep 2011       01-14-2013, 7:55 PM Reply
I also very much agree with above. The tige dash and is neat and clean. It's easy to use and quite pleasant, same with the new nautique dash. The new MC dash is good as we'll. the toggles don't bother me as much but they're unneeded with the screen. The BIG on older MCs is a pain in the but, and its in the same location . It's hard to see over even at over 6 feet
Old     (rdlangston13)      Join Date: Feb 2011       01-15-2013, 7:52 AM Reply
I disagree with the dash comments. While im not sure whos is more functional I think Supras set up is definitely the best looking while Natiques has to be about the uggliest. I love the toggle switches and the way the supra vision is located directly between the main gauges. looks very very clean. i can't imagine it being that hard to use either since you will do most of you setups while sitting still
Old     (tyler97217)      Join Date: Aug 2004       01-15-2013, 8:05 AM Reply
I agree. I really like the dash and the toggles....
What is the toggle labeled "underwater steady strobe"? Is that and underwater LED on the back that you can turn on or turn to strobe?
Old     (ripr)      Join Date: Mar 2002       01-15-2013, 8:34 AM Reply
It's more of a fade in and out as opposed to a strobe. I think there was some regulatory issues with emergency vehicles that poo pood the idea on a flashing strobe.
Old     (chrisbucklin)      Join Date: Mar 2012       01-17-2013, 2:09 PM Reply
i like the dash. its nice a time to b able to just flip a switch...but the screen is really easy to use too, so i like it. i only have 7 hours on it but soon it will b warming out and i will b back on the water and then have more opinions for u.
