So my original question would have lead to what should i get next? I am certainly planning on getting a nifty fifty and eventually a fisheye but i'm not very happy with the 28-135 and want to replace that with something else...but what?

Want to give the 70-200 2.8 a try as some point...so see if it is 10x better than my cheapo 55-200...which is pretty good. I think I will rent one and see if it is worth $2K+..!

brant the current 70-200 can be found for about 1500 used or 1900 new. nikon is coming out with a new 70-200 which will be 2400 or so.

the 55-200 is a good lens but you will notice a huge increase in all aspects of performance if you jump to the 70-200 2.8, especially in sports.

Cant decide if I am going to get rid or the 18-200VR and go to a superwide and nicer mid range zoom. I dont like to switch lenses and usually have the 18-200mm on all the time but dont love it in its wider range.
