Ya D.Shows kills the rails, but gets no love from the judges for the inverts. Its too bad because thats what the fans want to see and they always ask him to throw down the inverts. Are you going to Dallas, if you are I will see ya there, stop by and say hello.

J-Rod...agreed on the Superfreaks...wicked-cool shorts....awesome material/design, but way too short and I'm almost 5'8! O'Neil makes nice stuff though...they make most of my favorites...

My favorite pair of shorts are these rip curl shorts that I got at the trestles outlet. I love the superfreaks but also wish they were a few inches longer. They don't dry as fast as they could though. I also have a pair of "toes on the nose" shorts that I like because they dry super fast and they are plain black.

What's the advantage of long shorts? I don't break out the Speedos or anything but I like above-the-knee shorts because it annoys me having to adjust my shorts every time I get up. Is there a functional reason for long shorts or is it just a fashion thing? I remember skaters used to like long shorts when I was a kid but that was mainly to keep from skinning your knees so easily. Back to the original question, whatever shorts are cheap and don't have the fishnet briefs are my favorites. Right now, I wear the Nautica. Oh yeah!

Alpine Stars makes some sick shorts. They are long, baggy, and fit around your waist like normal shorts. I have this issue with most being unwearable as everyday clothing. Those Galapagos Cire's are sick in the green.

I ride a longboard when surfing because I am a big boy, so long shorts cut down on surf rash. for wakeboarding IMO it is just fashion.

The Cire BShorts run true to size, you should be fine with a 32 Brett. Yes Alpinestars makes some sweet boardshorts as well we will have the 08's in stock soon.

"What's the advantage of long shorts?": They look "baller" Can't believe I said that. I wear a 34 waist but rock the Cire shorts in a 36. They hang down a little and there's plenty of room for a wetsuit under. A must on the west coast.

Cire does make some nice shorts. FYI......it looks like their older pairs are on sale for only $24. That's a good price on a nice pair of shorts. The '08 styles are looking nice. T

so what's the consensus on long shorts? I'm 6'5" and would like to find a pair that hang below the knee a little!

Bob, It will depend on your waist size.If you are 6'5" with a 32" waist, I don't think you will ever find a pair that hit below the knee. We list the length for each waist size so that people know exactly what they are getting.

I havent' had a 32" waist since I was a freshman in High School. I seem to fall right between sizes. 34 are usually a little snug, and 36 are genrally a littl too loose. Do you sell 35's? Seems like most companies sell just even waist sizes.

Bob We don't do 35, just 34 and 36. I would go with 36 and crank down the waist with the drawcord. Abe, I hear you on the waistsizes, we have been getting more requests for larger sizes so I will see what I can do.

I like those lost boardshorts. Are all the online retailers the same price? Basically which retailer is the cheapest?
