Wow, so much for it all being some marketing scheme. Sounds like Apple is really dropping the hammer on Gizmodo

Gizmodo is an apple fanboy blog as well. They basically offer free publicity for them, you would think they would let this slide.

Apple = puts a VERY high priority on keeping new tech under wraps. They recently fired someone for showing Steve Wozniak a 3g iPad prototype.
Gizmodo = will do anything to get the scoop on new Apple tech.

This couldn't be more fitting IMO. And the more BS I read from Gizmodo about this whole thing, the more I wish Apple would destroy them.

If Apple would make I-tunes easier to use and less restrictive I would forgive them of all sins. Until then......

And now they know who found the phone. Looks like he will be charged with theft, as he didn't make reasonable efforts to return the phone. I'm wondering what Apple gains by putting this kid through the ringer?

Wait a minute, you can get charged with theft if you FIND something? WTF is that about?

Oh wow, looks like the law decided that argument that was on here a few months ago when the dude left a camera in the locker room at OWC, came back half an hour later and someone had jacked it after closing time.

Ahahahahahaha. That was one of the worst arguments I've seen on this site...

As for Apple charging the Gizmodo guy with a crime, well, they're clearly dicks. I mean, remember the guy who leaked an iPhone from the plant he worked at in China or Korea or wherever. The security team tortured him to the point that he committed suicide, because of how psychotic Apple went on them about the leak. The entire manufacturing company was on the verge of losing business from Apple over it.

I doubt if someone took something of mine and I got it back, that the police would then get a warrant and raid the person's house. If you already had the goods back the police wouldn't give most people the time of day.

Looks like the Nazis at Apple have a taxpayer provided Gestapo.
