Thanks to Steve, Thane, and Geoff for the great day on Lake Elsinore today - chilly water but glassy. Perfect early winter day in SoCal!

Nice water! Was the lake polluted or something?

HEY THANKS FOR THE INVITE !!! Just Kidding. glad to see you guys out there having fun. Thane had a full suit on I guess that means the water temp is below 80*. Nice grabs Thane. Geoff, HUGE as always. Hopefully I can get out and ride with some of you in the near future. Bill good to see you still charging it!

Hey Tim, we were talking about you today...after Thane pulled a huge backroll "Tim Jewitt" style.

Let me know your schedule and I'll make sure I put you on the invite list when I drag my boat up that way.

Bill - that new camera rocks. The quality on those pics is awesome. Thanks for comin' out and snappin' some pics.

Tim - sorry my wake whore brother. What days do you have off and I'll make sure I call you next time we ride.

I did pull a "Tim Jewitt" style back roll according to Geoff.

Bill,

Pics look good, The water wasn't quite as nice at Castaic but still pretty good (no other boats were out)

I have seen about 20 pictures of you boarding or surfing, and your hair is always dry and nicely combed. Do you never fall or just ride with a blow dryer in your back pocket?

Yeah, it wasn't even that cold. But then I have way more natural insulation than Thane does and I don't ride 45 min sets either.

Hey Guys,

I am not ridding much due to my schedule. I am working T,W,TH,S and I have Class on Friday. So my only days off are Sun and Mon. And even those have been take lately as I have been doing all the clinical and ride-outs for my EMT class. But soon enough and if you are headed out on a Sunday or Monday ring me up.

Todd, I would love to see you ride again. I still think one of the best times I have had behind a boat was ridding doubles with you are at lake Martinez. Hope to see you all soon.

Bill- those pics came out really good...nice camera. And thanks for shooting all the pics. I could take another half dozen or so of days like yesterday.

Looking to get out next week, will let you and Geoff know if you have any interest. Not sure if we should ask Thane to go or not, those 45min sets suck a lot of gas

I'm the only one in that group that works, and the only one without a boat, go figure! I guess I could learn a lot from these guys. You're retired right Steve? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

On that particular morning I was off by 8:30 am.

Kimmy it's the new Canon Digital Rebel, which is a 6.3 megapixel SLR. The kit with lens is $999 most places. I borrowed my sister's 75-300mm lens for those shots but I should have a 75-200mm F4L lens soon, which should make the pics slightly better.

but it seemed like a great day, sick pics Bill.

Kristian, you're being a little ridiculous. They don't wear that much gear in Alaska! :-)

Thane has some good style, even with those trunks over the fullsuit!!!!

Sorry, couldn't resist. Seriously, that tail grab is nice.

Thanks for all the compliments guys. I can't stop grinnin'.

Thanks for posting those pics Bill, I wanted to post them but I didn't want to seem too vain.

If the ridicule is the only price I have to pay to wear my boardshorts over my full suit then so be it. It looks cool and you all know it!! In a couple years you all will be doing it too!
Old     (depswa)      Join Date: Nov 2000       11-09-2003, 6:10 PM Reply
I'm down with you Thane...gotta wear the boardshorts over the suit wakeboarding...don't even think about it surfing though! I don't know why, but you gotta live by the rules.

On the other hand...I will never wear boardshorts over my drysuit...that might look weird! But what is weird anyways? Everything's subjective...HA!
Old     (thane_dogg)      Join Date: Jun 2002       11-09-2003, 7:19 PM Reply
Dan - that's what I say. If I was going surfing in a fullsuit I wouldn't wear my boardshorts over wetsuit, no way. Definitely wouldn't wear my boardshorts over a baggy drysuit. Would that even work?
Old     (deepstructure)      Join Date: Jun 2002       11-09-2003, 7:53 PM Reply
hmm - maybe i need to buy a pair of xxxl size board shorts to wear over my drysuit...
Old     (blabel)      Join Date: Jul 2001       11-09-2003, 8:49 PM Reply
Once you go dry, you'll never go back. Then you won't have to wash your trunks in the winter, just your drysuit!
