Heading down to Shasta this weekend. With all the fires my wife wants to cancel. Does anyone have any information on what the conditions are like. How low is the lake level. Thanks for any info.

It's very low. More than 90 feet last week. Not sure about the smoke tho.

Smoke is clear.

The lake is low, but it is reasonable.

The smoke is not clear. It is better than last weekend though. The lake is about 88 feet down.

I just came home from the lake to grab a few things. All depends on were you plan on camping? We're at the Jones Valley inlet and theres no smoke there. I have some friends camping up at Antlers and they say its pretty smoky up there, understandable since the fires are near the damn on that side of the lake. So far as the water level? Its really low espessially for this time of year but its still awsome out there, plenty of good water temp is low 80's air temp has been mid 90's. I've got friends coming up from the Bay aria and if it wasnt worth it I wouldnt have them drive all that way so id say go for it!! If you end up coming and are near Jones Vally say hi, we'll have 2 90's Sangers and the boat in my profile.
