Hey I am a 29-year-old female who lives in the Sloan's Lake/Highlands area. I am looking to meet down-to-earth people who would like to help me learn how to wakeboard.

Anyone out there want to help, I have gas money!

Check out www.milehighwakeboarding.com.

Besides lessons, they also put on a number of tournaments and other events in the Denver area (we had one last Saturday, in fact). The events are a great way to meet other riders. I'd be happy to help you out, but I don't have a boat:-(.

Hey Shannon, I live about 5 blocks from Sloans Lake aswell. My buddy has a MC Maristar and we generally are out at least every friday, and we are trying to get out more during the week aswell. Send me a PM and I'll definitly let you know when we are headed out, we usually need a third, but you are always welcome. Also try and get ahold of Kraig Kaiser.

Shannon,

There was a similar post a few weeks back that kind of got out of hand and you will probably see a little fallout, like Paul and Steves posts.

It's fine, not everyone in the world has class or can be grown-ups. I guess since I want to be a Tower Crane Operator and am going to school for it in August I need to learn how to deal with sexist pigs. LOL....

Very cool job! It also pays really good!!!!! If your interested in learning more you should look at the Tower Crane School of Phoenix.

I would never have guessed they actually have a school to learn how to operate a tower crane. Sounds like something I should have done earlier in my life. Then I could just BASE jump it when I was ready to go home!

Ouch!

Is it too late late to say I was goofing around?!

Ya you have to be NCCCO certified before they will even let you operate a Crane which requires you going to a training school. The school is only 6 days, but about 10-12 hour days. Base jumping would be a much better way of getting down from the crane, but I don't think the safety guy would like it...LOL

Shannon,
4 sure check out Mile High Wakeboarding.com. The instructors (Steve & Brett) are great guys, the lake where they do the lessons is a private lake and the water is always butta', plus you will be learning to ride behind an 08' Master Craft XStar.

Hey shannon I am instructor at milehighwakeboarding and ur best bet would be to come to one of our competitions coming up and meet some ppl, or tommy is having a comp this weekend in pueblo. The wakeboard scene in colorado is very cool because it is relatively small so everyone gets to know each other. and at the comps everyone is friendly and willing to offer pulls in the future.

(lived in colorado all my life.......i may be a local???)

Shannon, I used to live in CO and my home lake was Chatfield. It's on the Southwest side of Denver, near Littleton/Highlands Ranch area. You can take Sante Fe south to C-470 (or take 70 West and then C-470) It is a State Park and required a fee (at least when I lived there).
