This cushion has come loose. Anyone know how to tighten it up? I can't reach the stud with the nut on it to tighten it up. It's too far to reach through the speakers, and not enough clearance to reach up under the seat.

I have a 2000 and just had to tighten up the armrest up front there on the driver side this weekend as a nut came loose. Believe it or not there are no nuts on that center cushion. They are plastic, threaded for lack of a better word "tabs" that just use pressure. You just pull off that center cusion . If you feel around from under the bottom om the seat towards the back of the fiberglass there are two tabs at the bottom left and right corner and also 3 tabs across the top. NO NUTS. Just grip the cushion firmly in those corners and give a pull. Will pop right off. My guess is a couple of those tabs may have worn out and came loose over time. Not sure If you need to get replacements tabs from MC or if its something you can just pick up from an auto parts bill. It's a piece of cake.

For future reference if your side armrests come loose or you ever need them reupholstered you have to remove this center cushion to get to the top screw on the armrests as well. Hope this helps.
