Wait a minute...freezing temperatures? Do I need to bring a wetsuit? WTF?! Who wants to trunk it?

Was out at Berryessa yesterday...rocked a shorty and the 3 other riders wore full suits. If you're able to deal w/ cold water, trunks are definitely still possible...especially after some drinks and a few words of encouragement from the rest of the boat! The water is cold, though. Definitely bring a wetsuit if you've got one.

We have something going on early on Friday, but WE WILL BE THERE later in the afternoon. Is anyone planning a pot luck or anything for dinner?

Unfortunately Tate has to work on Saturday so we can't stay for the weekend.

Oh, and we WILL be bringing Roxie:

Berryessa is sorta cold right now, nothing compared to the Sac River, and I was trunkin it there last week. But it all depends how cold the air temp is for me at this point, if its sunny I rock trunks...

Anyone thought about changing the location to Steele Park? We've camped there twice this year, and it is much nicer than Spanish Flats. There's even a "Sobe Bomb" spot!

"Speaking of changing location"
Next year can we think about doing it at Tulloch? The Hotel is empty and we could have the place to ourselfs and do pretty much what ever we wanted. They said they would do room specials ect. A nice warm place to sleep at night and someone to cook breakfast in the morning beats a tent and a bannana in the morning im my book.
Stacy I even know a place for a SOBE bomb.

I would be down for that G, That place is rad. But how good of a deal are we talking on the rooms?

BG, my bro is coming up with me. I got my new board but no boots yet. If anyone has one extra .9 Absolute fin & some fin screws (2 sets) I would be eternally grateful. I haven't had a board with fins in 5 years, weird.

Bryan, just so you know the "cool" kids are going to be at the Espana Flats. I heard there will be drinking under stationary objects and Guitar Hero marathons. God Bless America!! And turkey too.

Stacey,

I'm open to Steele but I've never been there so...How much are the rooms ? How far are they from the water and the RV camping ?

Grant,
To be honest Tulloch doesn't interest me to much. A few boats on it and it's wrecked. I'll be there for the CIE spring ride but other than that it's not one of my favorite lakes. Berryessa seems to be a descent central location for the most part for the people that have been attending this trip.

Like I told you before your not stepping on my toes one bit if you start a T-day thing up there too and remember your always welcome to join us.

As far as changing locations.. Does the new location have cabins?

Evan: Roo on the bbq sound fantastic!

Also, not sure if i can book my own cabin now due to the fact that i just booked a trip to vegas for new years.. So now i need to save money for that. Anyone want to help me out and give me a place to stay? I can def pitch in just cant afford the cabin myself.

I like rooms... I'm not really down to dirt camp in November if it's avoidable. What's the deal, Stacy? They got rooms over there?

I think Tulloch is a great idea, too. Maybe we can put something together for next year. Nothing beats a hotel on the water.

I dont remember how much spanish flats was but i think it was a lot less than those prices above, and were all in the same area. Id think it would suck if we had some ppl in a motel, some in a cottage, lakeside cottage etc. I doubt those would be within walking distanc of eachother, but i def could be wrong.

BG.. I'm in. I'm just trying to decide when I'm headed up. I've gotta work some time in on the KTM that weekend, too. I'm thinking I'll be there Friday night for sure.

My wife made a call and their rates actually kick ass on Spanish flats.

The winter rate for the motel is 65.00 a night for two people.

The cottage is 95.00 a night for four people.

Ramp & launch are free with the room. Marina slips are no charge.

It's always burned my ass that Spanish flats wouldn't give us a group rate or winter rate.
They also wanted 20.00 for a extra car at SF.

We always end up riding on that side of the lake too. If everyone is ok with the change I'm game !
