Ronix One and Cell

On Saturday I came up short on a tantrum and tweaked my ankle pretty good. I have been riding 08 Shanes all summer, and I think they are too soft for me. I think I'm going to order some 09 Ones or 09 Cells to replace my shanes. I want a boot with more ankle support. Has anyone ridden the 09 Cells or Ones that can comment on the support of either one? Rode the ones last night - very stiff. I liked them. Will be picking up a set soon.

Also, the 09s can be mounted on my 08 shane right? I just wont be able to go all the way out?

Love my 08 Cells and im sure they didnt get any worse for the 09 year. Stiff as hell, just like my snowboard boots, the way I like em. (I have bad ankles)

same as you i jacked my ankle in 08 shanes. even ripped the liner out. I picked up 09 cells and could be happier. no you cant tweak out grabs as easy but i feel more solid on the water now

The cells are stiffer than the One's.

I've screwed my ankles from time to time in the past and their pretty weak. I've been riding 07, 08, 09 Cells and love them. If I rode any other company boots it would be their stiffest boots being the Mareks or Watsons. I played around in some One and Frank boots just to see how they ride but I stick to cells just because of the support.

I have the 09 Ones, LOVE them i think its just right amount of stiffness.. Yes I think you can mount them to your shane, you just halft to use the addapter plates that come with them i think...

I have the 08 Ones and Cells. The Cells are super stiff! I have pretty weak ankles also and am more comfortable in the One's just because they do offer a bit more mobility. The Cells are the way to go if you like super stiff!

I ride 09 Ones and they aren't really that stiff IMO, Cells are like snowboots... which some people love... I'd rather have the pressage/pokeage factor myself but its all preference.

The cells are one of the stiffest boots Ronix offers, and the 09's will fit on your 08 shane, you will just need the extension peices that come with the bindings.

What is the sizing like on the 09 Ronix bindings? I wear an 11 to 11.5 and I tried on my brother's 08 ones size 11. They were a bit too small. Do the 09s run a little small as well?

I have tried the 09 Cells, and yes they are stiff. Lots of ankle support. I decided to go with the Kai bidings. Ronix uses a 1-10 scale to compare stiffness. Cells are a 9, Ones are 8, Franks and OT Kai are 8, CT Kai are 7, Reliks are 5.

I found a good deal on some cells last night. My 08 CT Shanes are for sale, size 11-12. $130 shipped.
