Im trying to find a decent setup for my buddy who is a beginner and wants to spend $300. He rode my board and loved my closed toe LF Shanes. Im gonna recommend that he buys the 07 Hyperlite State and 07 Closed toe shanes...will that work???

IT WILL WORK, but you may have to play with the screw length and/or add washers so the boots are snug to the board... or is that with hyperlite boots on LF boards?... anyway, you are good to go. no worries bro

It should work if he does not need the widest stance. I tried to put watsons on a Marek and you can not use the widest stance.

yeah it oughta work. I had the 07 shanes on the 136 premier and it worked fine. the screw holes in the plate leave you a little room to move around to accomodate other boards.
