Isn't anyone doing any stereo upgrades this summer? I like checking out what other people are putting in their boats, how it's set up, and feedback on how it sounds.

Is anyone adding new amps, changing out subs, or putting up new tower speakers? Anything? Post some pics!

Summer time = Riding time
Winter time = upgrade time

I've done a little work on my '97 Outback.

The goodies:

AudioFormz Twisted enclosures with Polk MOMO 650 speakers on the tower, and 4 more matching 6.5's in the boat.

Tower is wired via a Speakeron cable with quick-connects:

Two Phoenix Gold Octane-R amps (5ch and 4ch) behind the passengers seat:

I don't have pics of the finished sub, but it sits under the dash starboard side. I'm working on a nice fiberglass/carpeted trim panel for it.

Also put in a second battery (Optima) with a Perko switch, an iPod mini-stereo connection to the Eclipse head unit, an iPod mount on the dash.

Here is a diagram for the system above:

The sound is great. Bass is solid and can be loud when I dial it up. The AudioFormz aren't too bad for a budget tower speaker, but I'm already planning to upgrade to the Wet Sounds.
