Hey guys I have a problem with my LF vantage bindings:

They fit a little big (can't exchange them because I live in Mexico) and, when I land hard I stub my toes agains the binding.

I've been thinking of putting something inside, but not sure what.

Any suggestions?

Izzy

Try socks, I had a similar problem with mine last year. Socks definitely helped out

Cut your toe nails short.

I had the same problem with some Ronix One close toe Bindings. On some hard landings, my foot would slide forward in the binding stubbing my big toe. It got so bad as that when I was done with my set my toe was bleeding.

I switched to a high end open toe binding (Ronix Kai Open Toe). It had all of the features of the closed toe but was a bit lighter. I did like the closed toe binding for the winter, but it wasn't worth it to me. The only way to prevent the toe stubbing in the closed toe is to somehow secure your ankle so your foot will not slide forward.

Get a good fitting pair of closed toe bindings and you shouldn't slide forward at all. I've never had my foot move in my '09 Hyperlite Murray bindings.

neoprene socks.
i both agree and disagree with the "boot sized right" thing. especially with the recent trends to make boots lighter and have a smaller footprint on the board, end result, thinning of liners. one company to another and year to year have significant differences in toe box padding.

my recent liking is a boot sized nearly 2 sizes too big with 2 pairs of 2mm neo socks (4 mm total). extra cush, extra warmth (when needed), and the boots release real nice too. down side-bigger boot (not a problem to me)

so do you guys just shove a sock inside the boot or put one on?

Neoprene is a good idea. I didn't have a problem with my SS bindings, but they had the booties. . .
