I am having probs with my big toes jambing forward in my CT watsons. Mostly happens because I am learning Scarecrows and TSFRs and keep coming up short. Doesnt happen with regular riding.
I am trying to ride them tight, have the smallest size boot for my foot (10-11 for an 11 foot)
Would socks help?

riding with socks is just comfortable. if you have the right size bindings for your feet you should not be having this problem.

Robot. I had the same problem with my cells. they are going on the 3rd season (yes, I know its time for new boots). I got them super tight, size 8 and I am a 10. after a few weeks they packed out perfectly. Now they have broken down and packed out so much that on hard falls or landings by toes would jamb a bit too.

So I did what Murray told me to do, and wear socks. It has helped tremendously. Get really good, ergonomically correct socks, not tube style. You may look like a dork, I get made fun of a bit, but It is worth a try.

ha. never been asked that question before! seriously, you are joking, but I will answer just in case.

I wear dockers socks. (got em at mervyns, before they went out of business around here) crew socks with a thin & tight section across the middle of the foot, thicker toe and heal material, and a thicker footbed. great socks. they are white with 2 thin horizontal stripes across the top.

i have shanes that are the right size for me. and ive never had a problem.

BUT

i rode my ffriends board this weekend with his CWB answer bindings (which i hated BTW) but they where size 13 and i wear an 11. and they where killing my toes while riding. maybe yours are still to big?
i would just try are ride other peoples bindings and find some you like.

no ride open toe. use what works and dont follow a trend for the sake of "new technology" and marketing plans.

since everyone on here sounds like they can compare the watsons and shanes i have a question. i have rode the watsons and like them but am looking for new bindings and would like to try the shanes but have bad ankles and am afraid they won't give me very much support since everyone talks about how soft they are. should i go for the shanes or stick with the watsons. hijack over

the only closed toe bindings i have rode i hated. i wear a 10 and they 9-10 and felt like my toes were so cramped that they bowed my feet and wouldn't allow my arched to even touch the foot beds. constant toe jam, maybe open toes are the answer?

I wear the 10-11 and my normal shoe size is 11,
I cant go lower, when these were new they were v.v. tight ( I used to use the 11-12)
I tightened them this weekend and they were better, socks are next
