Help please, I have only tried it twice and it feels like I am getting 3/4 of the way around. My rotation is on the right axis, its just too slow. If I spin it faster then I lose my pop. Any tips would be appreciated. I want to land on my feet this weekend. I will try to post video if I can get it.

mike if youre rotating to slow( and probably fallin on youre back) then youre axis isnt correct. i video would be super helpful so i could be sure though. i had this very problem. i was rotating to much in a cart wheel fashion, side to side. my thoughts when i do this trick are to weight my rear heel just a little more than normal. keep my elbows tucked tight. and when i "throw" the trick i rip my lead shoulder down and twist just a little. it is a pretty violent move and you really have to "throw it". but after you do throw it the board whips around real quick. really dump your lead shoulder hard downward but also rotate it a little counterclockwise(for goofy) clockwise for regular. not to much rotation or you'll throw a frantrum. i hope this helps. it sounds like you have the same problem i did. once i visualized it correctly in my head how i was supposed to throw the trick, i landed my very first one. i would say it is one of my most consistent tricks and its alot of fun to throw.

Mike,

I think he nailed it, you are definately turning side to side like a cart wheel. I have no idea, but it sounds like Alan is saying tuck your head down more towards your chest like you are going to do a summersault. Right now you are bringing your right ear to your right shoulder and turning like a cartwheel. Good luck, hopefully one of us will succeed this weekend. I am going to give the backroll another shot tomorrow morning

exactly troy. you dont wanna pin your chin to your chest or anything like that but get that head down in front of the lead shoulder. ive heard alot of people say "pin your ear to you shoulder" and that just didnt work for me. i feel like the axis something in between a front summersault and a cartwheel. good luck fellas, glad to see you guys are out there pushing each other

That makes sense, it would counter the pull of the boat keeping you on axis. I 'll let you know how it goes and post some pics next week. Thanks for the input.
