When I am turning around to pick up a downed rider at about 5mph the perfect pass causes the boat to surge like it wants to take control. The perfect pass is set at 10.5 for surfing. For wakeboarding it works fine set at 24.Does anyone else have issues like this or suggestions?

When you let off the throttle, it creates slack in the p.p. cable. What you feel is the slack being taken out. It is normal

I was told that you take the throttle right back to neutral, and put it back into drive. this kicks the pp out until you start her up again. worked when i was out in my boat first couple times. any other input??

never heard of that ryan, bill mine does it too its normal cause your pp is set at such a slow speed. I normally just try to reverse back as far as i can and let the rider swim to the handle, less work for the driver

The experiences I have had, you have to put the perfect pass back into nuetral to disable the perfect pass. Then put it back into gear. Once you hit the set speed, it will turn back on. At least on my nautique and the Malibu's I drive that have Malibu cruise control.

I experienced the same thing myke did. kick it into neutral to disable. pick buddy up. once you kick it past the desired speed pp kicks back in. I've only used pp twice now, still getting used to it. dont' know why i have boated so long without it though.

Interesting, I don't believe I have this issue with mine. Mine doesn't do anything until it beeps when accelerating. Once I bring the throttle back to nuetral, it's off until it beeps again.

you should always pop it in neutral then let the wake spin u around the go get ur rider plus saves the water in front of u

That is the way I turn around.Rider falls I go to neutral, let the wake pass, turn around inside the wake at about 5mph and head back to the rider and that is when it starts to surge.

Mine does the slight surge too exactly as you describe Bill.
I think its just not really designed for such low speeds.
