So what do you think? I like that you get the choice of closed or open toes on the top end bindings.

So, I always thought that the '06 Watsons and Shanes were the same with the exception of one being closed, and one open... Can someone please explain the difference between them for '07 besides color...? Or was I under the wrong impression for '06?

Am I the only one that thinks releasing both closed and open-toed models on any sort of bindings might be a little wasteful? It seems that if the closed toe is such an advance in tech, why not just stick with that and not bother pouring money into something that's open-toe as well - or would both styles really sell well enough to merit having them? I guess there seems to be a demand for both, but from the company's standpoint, I would guess that it might not be the most cost-effective way of doing things. All that being said, really digging the designs on everything here - colors look great, can't wait to hear how it all rides.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Watson's bindings are probably way more supportive then the Shanes. Based off of the Transits I would assume.

transits look like they have more forward lean than last year. I think the open and closed to is a good idea. since the idea is a year old, it could be pretty detrimental for them to sell only one version of each binding. and prob not that much more to produce both than one or the other.

Shane's gear got a lot of attention. looks pretty good

It's too bad Shane's such a toolshed.

Boots look good. The Shynx is really nice. Graphics...Watson is a big dissapointment after his 06. I think the 06 was the best graphic ever put on a board.
Shane looks like a board you'd see at Costco.
Ben's board looks like the Team graphics.
As always, their boots look super tech and high end...graphics...not so much.

I think closed toe is soooooo gay for wake. I know some of you like it but wow...

The shane graphics are hotter than hot. And I like melissa's as well. They remind me of an 80s miami vice type vibe/punk inspired skate graphics (the checkers).

I want to see their wakeskates.

i still don't get why people are hatin on closed toe bindings. If its not your thing, thats cool, but quotes like this, "I think closed toe is soooooo gay for wake." are just pointless. True everyone has the right to an opinion. But explain your reasoning for thinking so.

ANYWAYS, I like the new graphics on the shane setup. Not so hot on the Watson graphics...i'll keep my 2006. The PS3 graphics are nice. I agree that they could have done something more original with Greenwood's graphics on his board. Seems like some reworked Team graphics.

WHO ELSE HAS NOTICED....that Melissa's board looks identical to the trip. same rounded tip/tail shape, same fin configuration, Speaking of her board, i find it funny that people dog the 80's skateboard style graphics on this past year's premier but LF comes out with a girl board with some 80's skateboard style graphics and it looks hot......LMAO!

It also appears that everything will be going to the PRO plate this year (except the Ultra). I am not impressed with this year's ultra. I wish that they would come out with a color one so that the heal and toe pieces were like red or blue and the overlay wrap was clear. Spice it up a little ya know?!? It also appears that the transits and sphynx bindings are losing the hardware and going to the stitch and glue system.

Did the Shane have four fins on either end last year, I like the shane graphics and the open toed shanes, and the sphynx bindings look good as always.

the graphics on some of 'em are a bit disappointing such as the watson. the new shane board looks so money, looks like it has the same cut as the 06 too. and damn the sphynx are finally back to bad ass. last year's were pretty weak after the 05's were so sweet lookin

As far as I'm concerned, the difference between melissa's board and the premier is that the premier basically used actual images, or slightly tweaked versions of board graphics that were used by vision (the gator spiral, or the psycho man and that whole graphic). Melissa's looks like it was inspired by that era (or that's just what it reminds me of), but I HIGHLY doubt they went out of their way to rip off a steve rocco checker graphic or something like that. It's an original take on an old aesthetic (or again, that's what this year's graphic reminds me of).

On the flip side, I was not a fan of her pro model wakeskate graphic from a couple of years ago, the one that was kind of a tweaked mark gonzales vision graphic (his first pro model). So it does go both ways.

Speaking of wakeskates, where's aaron reed's new 07 model (the one after the LE version)?
