hate to have to do this to you, but i just got off of the lake of the ozarks last week. it wasn't too bad in the morning, but after that you might as well just put the boat away. even at dusk its still tore up from all the huge yachts doing 40 down the channel. if you're old enough though, there are tons of cool bars to hit up right on the water with live entertainment. great atmosphere, horrible water.

It's all about looking for the good water. The lake of the ozarks has sooooooo many deep coves, you just have to know where too look. On any given weekend holiday etc. the lake can be choppy in lots of spots, but we always find coves that are very smooth with plenty of room to ride. Obviously the channel is never a good place to ride, but if you want to ride, there's gonna be a be a place somewhere. Obviously early morning is def. the best time to ride, and I agree Lance the atmosphere, entertainment, and night life is great.

definetly 2nd what john said, get a hold of a map and find out where the coves are ahead of time.

I would rather have a jetskis suck sticker as to they insist on messing up butter water more then the big boats.
I ride a dirt bike and they are the same as a quad hogging up the whole trail kicking up a lot of dust.

ya i now what your saying i use to ride dirt bikes but now i just have a utility quad it sucks but its still fun. oh and yes jet skis do tend to screw things up a bit too. no offense john jet skis are still cool to

yes they are cool. I enjoy riding them also. However if I see a boat coming pulling someone I try and not wreck the calm water in front of them. They need to add that to the boaters ediquette manual.
