Missed Connection- OWC May 27th

OWC, Wednesday, May 27th

You: Thin, about 5'7", short hair, 20-something male wearing a black Body Glove vest. On the Beginner/Intermediate lake, you would go around then try a Heelside 360 near the dock and never land it.

Me: Large-chested in a light blue Liquid Force vest, I ate sh*t right off the dock all day long. My male friend wasn't doing much better. I let you go ahead of me, saying that I didn't want you to see me fall of the dock again because you're a better wakeboarder.

Every time you would walk by I wanted to compliment you or flirt, but my friend was always around when you were. We left right before it started sprinkling. Whenever I think about that day, you cross my mind, too.

I was hoping I’d run into you at rehab but apparently you were the rare bird in Queens psyche ward for something other than substance abuse (serious- I’ve heard it happens once in a while.) Keep an eye out for me down in Chinatown. I’ll be the guy with the Mohawk in cut-off shorts and combat boots, getting kicked out of the ••••••••• bars and vomiting next to yuppies in expensive shoes waiting for their car to be valeted outside Indigos.

Well, I figured I have a better chance of finding him on here than anywhere else. You know, there was a time that you couldn't land a 3, either. He's obviously a beginner like me, and I'm not superficial enough to judge a guy solely on his wakeboarding skills. Also, I mention the large-chested because a large vest is the first thing people notice. Trust me on that. Devidog- Don't believe everything you read on craigslist. :-)

Well keep your eyes open next time! I live in Tampa Bay, so I don't get over there too often, but I'll be there next weekend for the wake comp, so that's the next chance I'll get. This weekend I'm going to Forte's wake comp at Tower Lake.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to get to OWC this weekend as planned, because my friend bailed, and since none of my friends wakeboard, no one else is interested. Also, I live in Tampa Bay, so I'm passing another cable park to get there. Maybe it just wasn't meant to be...
