Head phones.

I have been checking out a few different types of head phones and wanted to share my results. With Christmas around the corner it might help some one.

All the head phones I tested had to work with my I phone. Many head phones have the option to be used with a phone with a in line mic and volume control.

The headphones I tested we're

Monster Beats
" In Ear" ( ear bud style) Dr Dre eddition. test time 30 days cost $ 180
These were very nice in ears with great bass. They come with 4-5 diffrent size inserts to customize how the bud fits into your ear. The better you can make the bud sit deeper into your ear the better the sound and more outside noise reduction. The quality of the buds and all the wire is Very good.

Over the ear (headphone style) test time 10 Days cost $230 they make a few different styles/ quality of the monster beats headphones, the ones I tested we're called "Studio" I know they make a HD version. To be honest these "For Me"tested the lowest of all the headphones I tested. The fit and how comfortable they sit on my head were not that good. The sound IMO was not as bright as other head phones . I don't know if that's why they seem to have lots of Bass is because they are lacking on the mid to high end. It's like the sound is tweaked for the highs to be turned down so to make them seem like the bass is killing it.

After testing the over the ear monster beats for 10 days I went right on to the "On the ear " monster beats. To me they sounded much the same it was as if they used the same speaker as the over the ear The difference was more in fit than how it sounded. The difference in noise reduction of over the ears vs on the ears is very little in a quite room. But I'm sure the over the ears makes a bigger diff in a noisy environment

My impression of the monster beats stuff is its OK! It's more fash and style then sound quality the quality of the headphones is good as is with all monster stuff expensive but good quality and GREAT marketing . The packaging and box that all the monster product comes in is pretty over the top and makes me think that monster is trying to push a crappy product with all the celebrity endorcments
Ect IMO if they dropped all the fancy packaging and celebrity marketing they could drop the price and then my expectitations of the product would also lower . Bottom line if your a 16 year old and you want the coolest head phones then Monster Beats has your name all over it and would make a great gift.

V-Moda cross fade LP over the ear head phones. Test time 60 days cost $80 "on sale"radio shack.
These over the ear head phones were a sort of underground un known to me. Popular with DJs and producers I have heard a lot of good things about them from people I know, that know what good sound, sounds like. I brought my monster beats with me to the store to try out the V moda headphones. Like the monster beats the packaging is very nice and the quality is top notch. They are stylish and some what sleek and technical and sharp compared to the rounded smooth beats.
The cord is thick and rugged the plug is solid and sits in your phone/iPod at a slight angle it's very nice sitting in your pocket. They come with a ver nice padded cache to protect them. They also come with a coard that unplugs at the head phones so you dont have to use the mic. Also it comes with a plug adaptor to plug into a mixer ( the larger thicker old school) plug . So these head phones can be easly switched from pair of head phone that you use for phone and music to serious DJ/ music mixing tools. The ear pads are very comfy and fit my head very nice the fit is firm but not to snug. The head band is padded and adjusts very easy. Over all these tested Very high even if you pay $200 or more they IMO are well worth it and blow away the monster beats. Check out ther web sight. Or radio shack for sales.

The last set I tested was Bose QC 15's cost $330 test time 2 day's so far still testing.

All I can say is "Game Over" these noise canceling head phones are the bomb in so many ways.
I'm still checking them out but so far I love them, if your going on a plane you owe it to yourself to pick up a pair, I will not be flying with out them.

So far the thing that blows me away is how much noise is just out there, even when you think it's quite out there, trust me it's not. Wear a pair of these for a few hrs and then take them off you will be amazed at how much static style noise is just out there. I'll show some pics of the V moda and the qc15's
