so whats the most dead weight you think a boat and trailor can handle without doing damage?

(just curious I have a 05 V215)

I personally wouldn't carry more than 1000 pounds. Normally the trailer has a max capacity plate on it. My trailer is 3880 pounds and the boat weighs 2900 pounds so 1000 pounds of extra weight is about max, especially when you consider gas & stereo etc etc. I doubt you would cause damage by carrying more but your insurance would be void if you had an accident and they were onto to it enough to weigh everything.
