alright i already know that the ski natique 2001 is considered the best bang for your buck but does anyone have anything good to say about other old model boats for wakeboarding? i'm looking to buy a boat this upcoming march and would like to spend around $8000. please, if you got a ski nat 2001 post pics of the wake, speed, length of rope and how much wieght your running i'd greatly appreciate it.

Jason, thats a damn nice wake. Especially for dd. how much weight did you add for that? Cause that looks similar to x30 i rode behind last week with 1000 lbs factory ballast

Well, in those pics I was using the fat seat in the back. About 1200 lbs and then about 250 - 300 lbs of lead in the bow. However, I just switched my set up and I'm actually getting a bigger wake now with the same kind of shape. Now I'm using 2, 600 lb sacks on the side of the engine compartment, 300 lbs up in the bow, and another 350 lbs of lead in the back under the stock seat. I switched up the arrangement because I had to take out the stock back seat for the fat seat to fit and it took away some sitting area. So know with the added weight and 1 - 2 more people on the boat the wake is even bigger and better.

To be honest with you I have never really looked at how much gas i use with the 2 different set ups. However, with my current set up. I believe they are right about the same. We usally ride from 6am to 2 pm every sunday. Now I'm not running the whole time. So I would say in about 4-5 hours I use about 1/2 a tank of fule. It was worse with the 3 blade prop though. The 4 blade helps it get on plain faster so it doesn't use as much gas. Hope that helps.

Bear, Where do you ride on Sundays? I'd love to check it out. You are right about the planning issue, but i have noticed that with the 3 blade it sure is a lot easier to hold speeds. Rich

Jason, That boat is a 1995? It's beautiful and it doesn't have that 'batman symbol'on it. Nice and simple and not flashy- just the way I like them. Is the tower stock, or did you buy that later?

I came across it on another post- That's what somebody was calling the logo on the side of the boat where it says the model name ex: x-star, x-2, x-5 etc.
