I have asked this before but I continually forget and/or have ADD and don't remember what I was doing at the time.
How do I post pictures while maintaining the large size here on WW. If I try to get my shots down to 150KB, they are the size of my mouse pointer.
I have Photoshop CS4 as well as Lightroom 2. Any help would be appreciated.

Killer shot Walt.

Rich, on the previous post you told me not to go past f/11... can you elaborate the difference or why it worked on Walt's shot as opposed to mine?

You asked why you did get super sharp "POP" in that landscape, Walt's shot doesn't need that level and at the size he posted the effects would be minimized anyhow. Actually there's nothing wrong with your landscape either except that you asked how you might get a bit more detail so I told you what I thought might be influencing that.

Experiment next time. Do 2 shots: one stopped down and one stopped down midway and see if you notice any difference. It could have been that your landscape wasn't completely focused absolutely spot on as well.

If I remember right you didn't have anything in the foreground of that shot that would warrant the need for extreme DOF anyhow. f8 to f11 is usually the sweet spot for best overall sharpness with most lenses.

This one was shot at f4 which sort of demonstrates what I mentioned above.

Attila,
I shot at f/22 so I could slow the exposure time down.

North side of Alcatraz. The building was backlit, so it received extensive lightening. Wrong time of the day, but we were just coming back into the SF Bay. Swells were HUGE on the ocean over Thanksgiving.
