Binding Sizing?

Right now i have a pair of '03 Ultra's. They are size XL, they are pretty hard to get into, but seem a little loose once I'm in. My shoe size is 10.5, I haven't tried size large, but for the LF bindings, would size large be too small? or should i go with XL

any advice?

Are they tight around your ankles and loose around your toes. If so you might want to try the sphinx or something. I wear a size Large Ultras and I wear a 9.5 so a large would probly be to small. They are pretty tight on me.

yea its just loose around the toes, especially when i'm cutting hard heelside, I'm looking at the sphynx cuz the can be tightened ulike the ultras

If its loose when its on in an XL go medium and just suck up the pain

Try Larges. I wear size a size 10 and I ride Large '04 Ultras, and I didn't have to tighten them at all. My '03 Ultras were a different story. I had to tight those down like crazy, and they were larges too.

I think you have to have a certian shaped foot for the ultras, I guess thats why some people love em, and some people hate em.

What certain type of foot do you think that is?

my foot is a 9.5. My feet are kinda short and wide and they fit pretty good. They are kinda loose around the toes but they still hold really good, and you cant beat the foot bed.

I have kind of a narrow foot, with a moderate arch, size 10's, and I wear Larges, and they fit perfect. Oh yeah, they're '04's.

If you are a 10.5 and don't have some inbred lookin foot LARGES should be just fine. Shave your feet, and lower leg (just above ankle) and you will be surprised in the "new" fit. More often than not men "think" their binding does not fit but actually their leg hair is being yanked by the root! Did you like it when Mommy pulled you by the hair as a kid?? Probably not. I am a 10.5 as well and I find that LARGES sometimes even need some minor tightening, so XL's are probably a bit loose for you. You may be a recreational rider and lack proper binding entry techniques but if you ask, people will help! Go visit your local proshop, hopefully they aren't kooks and will lend a hand. Good luck.

Marcus - Ultras take a special technique to get into and out of. I use a little newt juice to get in, because it washes right away. My foot pretty much goes right in, and the shape of the binding fits my foot perfectly. It always takes 2-3 hard kicks to get 'em off.

i got size L Transits

I tried on Large Transits and I thought they felt too big on the toes, and they don't have the high arch in the footpad like the Ultras, so I always thought that my foot would slide out the front.

dude i have size 11 and larges work for me .. x large is for size big ass feet man all the way up to like 13-14 i think.....

i have an 11 size foot and i ride large HL eras. i got them over the large because they were still .tight, but also more comfortable, i know hardcore guys would rather their foot circulation be cut off before they had a looser binding, but mine hold me down just fine.
