Ok, I hate to ask about bindings again, seems someone does 3x a day, but I'd appreciate everyone's input.

I can't seem to find a binding I can get in/out of without getting an aneurism in my head.

My ankles and feet are fairly wide I guess, and I practically wear myself out getting into and out of bindings. I really am not looking for advice on that, I've tried every method I've read about.

What I'm looking for is a set of bindings that give good hold and comfort, but are EASY to get in and out of. By easy I mean no binding lube needed to get in, and after loosening up laces I can pop them off in the water without about busting them off the board.

Really the only bindings I've tried that can do this are CBW Mobe's, but I want something that's not a universal binding, and a bit more high-end.

I tried last year's Hyperlite Parks, and they were horrible. Hard as hell to get on, and worse to get out of. I'd be breathing hard when I got in the water from the struggle, then dizzy when I got back in the boat from straining to get them off.

Sold them and bought some CWB Boss bindings, thinking they were basically a more advanced Mobe. Well, they are a LITTLE easier to get into, but need lube, and are still pretty difficult to get off, requiring some serious thrashing, although not near as bad as the Parks.

Very comfortable to ride other than the bottom section being too tight and cramping my foot after 10 minutes.

One thing I might could do is replace the laces in the Boss with longer laces, allowing the tongue to move more to give more room to get in/out.

I was also wondering if the newer Liquid Force bindings would give me a chance? Sphynx, Transit, Team?

How about last year's HL Temets, how loose does the top get when you release the knob?

I'm wondering if it's a size issue as well. My feet are size 9, so I usually end up getting something that is like 7-9, but my Boss are 8-10, and still are hell. Maybe I need to go to the next bigger size even though it doesn't seem right?

So, if anyone has tried a nice pro-level binding that is EASY to get on and off, I'd appreciate the advice.

Local shop has LF Team's on clearance for $199, but he said they are pretty hard to get into. They have Transits, but for some reason aren't as cheap, maybe because they're more popular?

thanks!

Boomer, check out the Teams... I am on a never ending search for a binding that does not make my feet fall asleep. The XL teams are the closest thing that I have found so far.

The teams are the ONLY binding ever that I could get into WITHOUT lube and the binding being dry. (i.e. trying them on in my office...)

They still make my feet fall asleep but it is getting better, hopefully they will break in for me. I have a pair of 05 parks on the way just to see if they will help.

i concur...go for the liquid force teams.

or, if you can wait, check out cwb's 06 bindings. they open up to get your feet in easilyl. they'll be out soon. (also, keep an eye out for a video demonstration of how easy it is to get in and out of them.)

Yeah, I saw the photos of those new CWB's with the latch on back. Those look super tight, but in addition to the above requirements, I am a tight wad, lol. I love getting bindings on clearance when the new ones come out, ie. I'd like to find an '05 or even left-over '04 that fits my bill...

I'll go to that local shop and try on the Team's. $199 seems like a good deal to support a local shop.

Anyone ever compare the Team and Transit? Wonder how they compare. Yeah, I've checked this web site's binding area, but everyone rates every binding a 5 in all areas for the most part, hah.

Wakeside has some Sphynx and maybe Transits on clearance, but they are the LE model, with some kind of camo design that I think would look crappy on my Substance.

dude..... for your problem I suggest you go to a shop with alot of bindings to try on and try them ALL on. My take you out of the way depending where you live but for you it seems a big problem and one thirty minutes in the shop could solve.

the '06 cwb torqs will retail at $199.

second the go and try them on.. I bought some 04 transits at the boat show last year on message board recommendations and they killed my feet. I ride the 05 Murrays, and for me they are outstanding (but they may suck for you). The LF boots are nice with the liner material and you shouldnt need lube to get in and out of them, so if they fit and feel good when they are on, that sounds like a good bet for you. TRY THEM ON FIRST THOUGH!

Yeah, good points. I need to go actually try a bunch of them on. I didn't realize it was the new Torq's that had the latch in back, thought it was a higher-end binding.

from what i understand, the torqs are supposed to be their price-point bindings for '06. i tried 'em on at a comp...they're super comfy. i even tried on the x-small....it was easy trying to get in and out of 'em! try doing that to "regular" bindings when you normally wear a large!

Joe U., you ride the Team bindings correct? I would actually love to get my hands on a pair of XL '05 Transits, but I can't seem to find them at any of the online shops in XL. I have found the Teams in XL, but I have read on hear where people think they are incredibly stiff. What do you think of them, and have you ridden the transits? I want a binding with some support, but I like it to be flexible to poke my grabs.
