Hey guys, my alternator went out yesterday on my 03' X-2. Its a Delco Remy 12v 70a 7SI. Fried the POS lead really well. :-) Should I use this opportunity to upgrade to a heavier duty one, or just stay pat? I only run two batteries, the extra being for a stereo with 2 amps. i will prolly add a 3rd amp in the next year, but still will be running under 1500watts.

Any thoughts from you guys who've been down this road?

Thanks!

Jarrod

very cheap to rebuild it to a 90/105 amp. Go that route.

90/105 should be perfect. We have a 5 batt and after 300+ hours our stock alternator is still chuggin right along. Make sure you keep your batt charged completely!
