probably, but I'd email the guy anyway just to see what he says. it'll probably be something like " thank you for your interest in my boat. Unfortunately, I am currently in Singapore visiting a sick relative. If you could just wire me the money, I'll arrange to have the crated and shipped to you..."

that is exactly what they want you to do is e-mail them... if everyone would ignore them they would go away -- but it is obviously paying off somehow...

this was just posted in raleigh nc as well

the best is i saw pics of willytown's boat posted on my local c-list last week...

My dad has a saying 'a sucker is born everyday'. People actually fall for these adds. On MSNBC they did a report on these scams and it was surprising to see how many people fell for them.

The same ad has been placed for a '07 Malibu VLX and a '07 Moomba Outback, all hotmail email address with the same format everytime. Go ahead and email him for fun (i did to screw with him) and you'll get back an email that says "the boat is currently in storage in a shipping yard, i was taking it overseas but decided not to".

It's the same scam as always, some 10 year old kid in Liberia or somewhere in africa trying to hook a sucker.

I like the guys that say they have the boat in a crate in NY ready to ship. I wonder if they use UPS or Fedex and how much an oversize box costs.
