Took a new Stretch board out yesterday, absolutely love it! It's shorter, wider, thinner, and flatter than the first Stretch I bought a couple years ago. I was able to do my first ever wakesurf air, I need to work on the altitude but it was still an air!

I'll upload the video when I get a chance. Really really stoked on this board!

Did you play with the fins? Were you running all 5?
Old     (meraculus)      Join Date: Sep 2007       08-13-2010, 10:00 AM Reply
The dimensions are 5'3" x 22 x 3". I'm big on quads so that is the only configuration I have tried, it works so well I haven't felt the need to try anything else. I put a plug in the center fin box. One of the features that I have really noticed is that it's almost impossible to bury the nose, that makes it so much more fun to ride!

James, I can ride on Thursday.

Get out the magnifying glass and you might want to hold your eyelids open so you can see these micro airs! Personally I think the camera angle is robbing me of at least a half an inch of altitude. Man I love this board, I can't wait to ride it again.

James, I sent you a PM, but I have noticed that messaging on wakeworld doesn't seem to work in Firefox or Internet Explorer, it does work in Chrome.

They have pads at the Stretch shop. I don't use wax, I bought two Dakine pads:

Wow Clay is this board really 22" wide? 2 inch wider than usual, that's interesting. James, how wide are your boards, 20" ?
And how much is front and rear rocker?
Old     (jdjjamesz)      Join Date: Mar 2008       08-17-2010, 7:21 PM Reply
mine are 19 1/2 2 inchs thick.
Old     (jdjjamesz)      Join Date: Mar 2008       08-17-2010, 7:22 PM Reply
I think wider is better,I try to keep them pretty much like my surfboards..
Old     (hawaj)      Join Date: Aug 2005       08-18-2010, 12:43 PM Reply
Wider is good because you dont sunk so easily, but its not good for edge to edge response I guess.
Old     (meraculus)      Join Date: Sep 2007       08-18-2010, 3:37 PM Reply
Yes it's 22" wide. Talk to Stretch if you want to know more about the dimensions and why it works. My understanding is that you can go wider and thinner and increase surface area and still have performance.

I got to see clays board in action this week,Board is insane so fast and glides on the wake perfect.Cant wait to try it ,stretch nailed it with that board. If more people saw how those boards worked or tryed them ,they would be so suprised on the speed and how easy they are to ride..
Old     (jdjjamesz)      Join Date: Mar 2008       08-28-2010, 11:13 AM Reply
yeah peter I was suprised with how wide it was and how it worked even better..I have a feeling when I try that board it might end up being the biggest airs I have ever done,I can just tell from the speed and pop of it..I might go that wide.
