im trying to get into wakeskating and dont even know what to buy first... im 6'4 245... board types? best shoes?

most wakeskates are about the same size but i would recommend one of the larger boards with foam. grip tape is nice but it sucks when you scrape something with it

i would recomend the LF impulse 42 reed. its a really wide board so your feet wont hang over, and its a great shape.
another good option would be the Hyperlite Vinyl 108 which is about 43". its also a wide board and the shape looks really good.
im recommending those boards because they will perform will perform well for your size. i didnt recomend the catalysts because they are narrow and you probably have 13s or 14s so your feet would be hanging over which is no fun when edging

also the Sattelye Engen deck would be good for your size dude..... Cary K is about your size and thats what board he rides......

As for durabiltiy I think Mitch can vouch for the Sattelyte's.
