I didn't see this posted yet on WW. Here's a quote from 'Spy', the original poster on dallaswakeboarding.com:

"Just info on what happen today. Me and Colby were riding and we were on our last set of the day. As he was doing one of his normal w2w jumps he got off balance at the end of the jump and caught an edge.he hit his head hard but was able to take his board off and get back in the boat. He passed out about 5min later. Hes in critical condition right now 3am. the docs say Hes totally brain dead and the doctors said they didn't think he'd make it through the night, Please pray for him he is one of our OWN."

Say a prayer... it certainly can't hurt...

Dear Lord, we just lift up Colby and his family right now. We don't know why things like this happen Lord, but YOU do. We pray that you pour Your Heavenly wisdom on the doctors as they treat him and please Lord pour Your Love into the hearts of the nurses and technicians that are working on him. We ask for Your supernatural peace that goes beyond all understanding Colby and all his friends and family. We ask this in Jesus Name, Amen

Wow, something like this just gives me chills on how fast it all can change. Seeing a fellow rider go down hurts and effect everybody. I wish Colby the best with his health, I don't know him personally but being a wakeboarder he is a friend to all. Stay strong and never give up! My head is down wishing him the best...

I send my prayers out to the family and friends of Colby.. I do not know him but he obviously is loved by so many. Out here on the west coast we recently lost an awesome young man (Caleb Willis)to a wakeboarding accident. I am still hurting from that and this saddens me even more. I am so sorry that his family is experiencing this. I will pray for you Colby.

I'm not sure how many of you have been following the DallasWakeboarding.com site, but apparently Colby is self employed and does not have insurance. whatever the outcome of this trauma, I'm certain he and his family will be facing some very unexpected financial burden.

Dallas Wakeboarding has started a fund to help them through this. I wouldn't expect anyone to donate blindly, so I encourage you to visit the thread that was posted earlier:
(http://www.dallaswakeboarding.com/index.php?option=com_forum&Itemid=26&page=viewtopi c&t=10074&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlig ht=)

Having seen this site recover stolen good, come together when a guy gets screwed on a classified add and many other things, I know this community can and will come together to help Colby and his family out.

DallasWakeboarding is accepting donations via PayPal to help Colby. I'm sure $5, $10 or $20 from each of us would go a long way!

Donations can be made via PayPal to: colbyturnerfund@gmail.com

It used to be funny and fun to say "I got five on it!" and now it is for a cause. I'm in and payment sent for Colby! I still got the chills from my last post and now even more that he is self employed. AGAIN, don't give up! I don't have a bed side gift but if somebody can put a WBM by his bed side for a little more power and hope. Colby my friend hang in there!!!

Fro-Z, what can you tell us about Colby? I love the idea of a WBM with him at bedside. I'd like to think that my wife would have Retrospect, my favorite video without question, playing non-stop if I were in this condition.

I have been riding with Colby several times and it really sinks in when you can identify with the actual person.

Colby was a self employed DJ and had not gotten health insurance for his business yet so in case anyone wants to donate some cash we have set up two funds for him:

or

I know this is my second post, but I can't shake the thought of Colby, and his parents right now...........as I tucked my three kids in, it really hit hard, and I came downstairs and started to cry......

This is a parents worst nightmare.......but I just know he's going to make it!

Hang in there, and be strong.....

FYI - we're funneling ALL donations directly through the DWB site now. I transferred $350 over from the PayPal account that was initially setup, donated by 10 generous people. If you donated to colbyturnerfund@gmail.com, please rest assured that your donation has been moved over to the DWB collection system. Any further donations can be made directly at: http://www.dallaswakeboarding.com

Your generosity will be beyond appreciated... We just want to see him get out of the hospital so he can read all of these posts in his honor...

We should get an update on his condition at some point tonight.

Latest news:

So every things been crazy sorry guys. Colby is still in critical condition. Hes officially in a coma now, and has been hooked up to a brain wave machine. The doctors said he had a seizure last night, which isnt a good thing. But to be positive when they test to see if there any reaction in him they pinch him really hard. He didnt like that and his hand moved to try and slap the doctors pinching him. So that to me is a good sign. also when they looked into his eyes they moved slightly, they say its good that there is a response but hes still in very critical condition. It appers to me that our prayers are working, i know this because they said they didnt think he would last the first night, and look whats happen. and now hes moving slightly. The power of prayers is amazing.

The donations are awesome guys, you dont realize how much this is going to help. He may be young but he owns his own house and car and has done well for himself. and not having insurance sucks also. But i know in my heart of hearts everything will be taken care of. Ill be back on later tonight with an update.

keep praying its working.
God Bless All of you
Howie.
