gotta tag a pair of jump skis today for my waterski team (who i wakeboard for), does spray paint hold well if you do two or 3 layers of paint?
and before you hate, if youve never hit a waterski jump, its crazy fun!

Prep the area well and use good paint and it will hold up.

Are you just trying to get it to look good for a couple of sets or are you hoping this will last a while? If it's just to look good temporarily then regular spray paint will probably work out ok but I would guess that it will start flaking and cracking pretty quickly. If you are looking for a more permanent finish then you should probably look into some special paints that are meant to adhere to whatever surface jump skis are made of. I have no idea what they are made of but if it's fiberglass or plastic they make special spray paint for these applications. I am sure this will probably cost a little more than standard spray paint but the results will probably be worth it.

Alex you can paint them. Flats work better. Obviously you are only painting the tops, so just be aware that they are painted when you put them back in you jump bag. I painted a pair of Goodmans and they held up really well, at least a season.
And your right jumping is a huge rush!!!

I worked at Callaway Gardens last summer and got to see the Masters Tournament close up. Ski jumping is serious business, haha.
