Boatmate trailer wheels

Anyone have any stock chrome 14" trailer wheels they want to get rid of?

Mine have been sitting out on my trailer while my boat is on the lift and have some rust on them.

Just use a bit of steel wool and soap on the rims should clean up OK?

I've also heard aluminum foil works well too. I've seen a guy do this to his 1984 nautique trailer wheels and it turned out pretty nice.

Mine are clear coated (don't ask how I know but the curb helped me find out)

I got a set of alum ford ranger wheels from the junk yard for $ 10 each and painted them black they have the bolt pattern.

Thanks guys.

I tried the aluminum foil before I posted and it flaked some of the chrome off. The rust is all the way through the finish.

I do not want to spend a lot - just don't want rusty wheels even if the trailer sits way more than it is used. My boat is on a lift but I still don't want to think about rusty wheels on an otherwise perfect trailer and boat setup.
