Any spots that you have always wanted to ride but can't due to a no wake zone or motorized boats being off limits? My dream location has always been riding from Lake union in seattle( with the space needle in the background down the montlake cut into lake washington. I wonder how much the ticket would be because I think that one might be worth every penny.

You would have to hit the cut on a slow day cause it can get pretty narly in there but I bet you could do with out getting caught. The cops are always hanging at 520 bridge so you would have to slow before then.

I would be surprised if there wasn't a police boat waiting at Lake Washington for me. I saw them busting an orange wakeboard boat off 520 today.

I'd like to ride the Chicago River. It would be pretty dirty, but worth it. Every time I cross the bridge on Lake Shore I would be able to look at the butter to the west and think "I rode that!" I think someone on here has already done it though. I remember seeing a picture.

To make it better Mike, start at the locks and ride all the way thru the cut, should still just be the 1 ticket when they catch you.

I always want to ride the channel between the ballard abd freemont bridge

Do you guys have any idea how polluted Lake Union is? But a very poachable spot indeed!

There's a 1/2 mile stretch on the north west side of Lake Union that isn't restricted. Very few people know about it. My only fear would be getting sick from the toxic water, or worse, getting run over by one of the sea planes.

I have a Dam like 2 minutes from my house and you cant tow a rider on it, but its always butter and the whole resevoir is like a huge perfect cove. I would love to ride there, i have even thought about trying to bribe the sherrif to let me hit 3 or 4 sets, you think $100 is worth it?!?! LOL!!!

Also McCovey cove, not because of the "good conditions" because its always "rolly" if not choppy but simply because of the awesomeness, as a Giants fan that would be soooo sweet.

Lake Woodlands, The Woodlands, TX

No gas. Building an electric wake boat could be done. The batteries would serve two purposes, store energy and add ballast.

Nick, McCovey cove has been done. Ryan lemons did it 2 seasons ago. Its a pretty sweet picture

I have always thought Lake Union would be sweet as well.

The spot that has been top in my poaching bag forever though is Angle Lake in SeaTac, WA. I wake up every morning and all I see is glass and MAYBE one guy out fishing. It stays flat all day long to, so it doesn't matter when you go out.

what about wakeskating behind a seadoo in between the I-90 bridges? That glass 90% of the time.

I wish I could board in the Lake in my development...but they don't allow any gas powered watercraft in the lake

Russell,
That was exactly what I was talking about. That would be pretty sweet. Its always glass through there, and usually less boats.

Kevin,
Do you know Nick Heaney, or are you talking about a separate incident?

I bet the people in those cruisers were like "WTF?!"

Actually, on the banks of the river there are a few restaurants and condos, not to mention that it is downtown Chicago. I'd bet that tons of people were like "WTF?!" It would have been awesome to see!

Will I'll bite on that one! Though I've seen some pretty nasty stuff while sculling in that lake.

Russell- That video was tight!!! Jay, nice pics as well.
Bocephus- It says in your profile that your favorite rider is "The Vandal", I bet before he found the lord he would have poached some buttery no wake zone water in a heart beat. Besides, I am not here to promote wakeboarding. I wakeboard to have a good time and I have always walked the fine line of legality. To me it was worth it to ride all summer long without an observer to get caught in august for a $79 ticket. It would also be worth it to get a set with the space needle in the background. Everybody wins. I get the set I always dreamed of and king county gets $100 for the trouble.
