We set ours up on the starboard side. We have about 600lbs in lead, 500 lbs fat sack, and the 250 lbs of stock all in the rear compartment. We turn very slightly to the right. Makes a real nice wave that is very long. The best set-up would be to have another sac in the nose and two more in the center by the driver seat and behind it. We also fill up the ski locker.

We went out on my buddies X-45 Sunday. The boat requires a lot of weight to throw a really good surf wake, but once you get that right it is awesome. He has a 750 plumbed into each rear locker on top of stock. The starboard wake is the better side from what we can find. We had the starboard locker stock full plus the 750. We had 12-14 people on the boat and with everybody on the surf side the wake was awesome.

As for wakeboarding If you plan on adding any weight you will need to ride pretty fast. Some guys tried to wakeboard with the stock ballast and 12-14 people in the boat. The wake was washed out on both sides and we were trying to pull at about 22 mph. I think you need to at least get to 24 or so. I even think we had the trim plate down.
