Finally after many many attemps and canceled projects its here. Looks briliant, clean and nature friendly without enormous concrete constructions. Probably located in Spain

duffy is right or at least that is my understanding as well. It works with displacement and pushing of the water.... pulling an object through that I believe is set on a track. there were some blogs about this set up or a similar one a few years back.

Very cool looking. I wonder how much force it has relative to our boats wave.

Here you can see most of the wave pool. Is interesting that all technology facilites are not on a beginning of a wave like at all otherproject before.

I want one!! If you have the property to build one and its cheaper then a boat, I would be all over it! I am wondering how long a average ride is?

They say it can be as long as you wish. Let''s say 2 miles?

and

"“All images shown on this website are from the 2010 prototype. Stay tuned to see shoulder high waves this summer.”

"All you need is a shallow stretch of water (preferably on flat land or a gentle slope – vertical slopes make it very difficult), and the water level must remain very stable."

‎"Wavegarden has developed a unique technology that generates perfect waves with tubes throughout the entire length of their breaks."

Ok so who will dig some dirt on their backyard?

How does it work? "A specially designed profile pushes the water towards the shore. The shore has a particular contour so the wave peels at the right angle. It seems simple but it's taken us years to make it work efficiently and reliably."

i tried the flowrider today in the montreal area, its pretty cool, i am not a huge huge fan but its fun and its nice to get into this in the winter season when you cant ride out .......

The fealing is not even like surfing or wakeboarding i would say its like you are surfing a skateboard .....

Cool thing to do but nothing comparable with wakesurfing .....

"The fealing is not even like surfing or wakeboarding"
wakeboarding is completely different than surfing, riding the flowrider is much closer to surfing than any other option.
