What a day it was at lake Sonoma. The weather was great and We had the whole lake to ourselves.
And a guy couldn't ask for a better crew ! (except for the little ramp incident) Rich you know what I'm talking about.

Drop Me a line if you ever need someone to ride with at Sonoma. There are a couple of other lakes around here also Berryessa, Medicino and Pillsbury.

Shawn,You ride at Jenkinson?Pretty lake,kinda small though.Damn crowded on 4th of July!
Old     (bigjessup)      Join Date: May 2002       03-15-2004, 11:59 AM Reply
Rich - It is small yes, but that makes it one of best lakes around! Only on the holidays and weekends is it crowded, every other day the lake is pretty much ours(we are usually one of 2-3 boats on it). Not to mention its only 15 minutes from my house so I cant complain.

Also on weekdays late afternoons we ride back in the 5mph zone. We have learned the Rangers patrol times, makes for some of the best water I have ever ridden.

Either the water was cold or somebody used Photo Shop to get rid of the 3,485,295,931,295 other boats usually jammed into the two small ski areas at that lake.

Ok, WALT!!!! I've bout had it with you! I'll answer your email a little later this morning, but right now I'm gonna rag on you for the butta you had ... and you stole my rider!

Na, seriously, I think I might be headed to San Antonio this weekend you guys wanna pull your ride down there? I've gotta make it up to Sonoma NOW! Let me ask you this though, we are trunkin it down here on the Delta, do I really need to ride in my dry at Sonoma still? Saturday was blown out down here and Sunday started off that way, I threw the best set ever later in the afternoon, flawless wake to wakes and I didn't even get my hair wet!!!!

hey teri sorry i would have been there but i couldnt make it there in time. sorry. and yesterday i had the chance to ride with aubrey and sammons only a 5 min. drive from my house so i took that. water sucked but man they are good.

Teri, I think the water temp is about 60 so no you don't need a Dry suit.

teri, those guys and their drysuits! i havent worn anything but that 2mm shirt and shorts at sonoma or berryessa for the last month now. the water is fine but its cold when you get out unless you have a towel. im not the smartest person and usually forget one. if you want to go to sonoma sometime you can drive to novato and i will drive from here up there that way you dont have to drive the whole way. it would only take you like an hour and 45 mins.

Okay, so I'll be in San Antonia Saturday, looks like we are rounding up a few crews. Looks like Gramps is bringing his crew and I'm digging up mine, you guys intrested in a drive down to San Antonio? I might just do a but load of driven if not and hit you guys for Sunday at Sonoma if you are game and not going south with us! Love to have you!

Yah - Derek, I've been in a spring or trunks for a month here on the Delta, not to mention that I rode in trunks on New Year's Day in 38 degree water and 42 degree air temps! Call me dump, call me a fool, call me what cha want but the fish is tough! You're only 29 once!!!!

What do you say Walt SA on Saturday, crew and all?
