Is the temp and water tolerable that time of year or is it a ghost town? My daughter has some school time off then and was considering coming down for some tramp training and a couple days at OWC. Thoughts?

Its fine. My daughter has been there every day this week. She sometimes just wears a 3mm top and boardshorts. You will probably need a full suit mid Jan.

Just make sure she's got a shorty and she'll be fine. It is colder than normal this year, but the cable has an advantage over the boat. You launch from the dock and get your body temp up before you take a dive. You'd only need a full suit if a cold front was predicted on the days in question.

I lived down there last winter and it was fine... I only had a vest and trunks everytime and the only time I was even a little chilly was if I was there at night

What's the average water temp that time of year? Cause if it's over 65, that's trunks and vest weather. I'm hoping to get down there over the beginning of christmas break here, so yeah.

Yeah... last winter it was usually like:
Jan - high 60's low 70's day -- 50's night
Feb - mid 70's day -- 60's night
March - low 80's day -- 60/70 night

I rode at o-dub last December and I wore a wetsuit top in the morning and throughout the day I only wore my vest and as it got dark i put the top back on and I was just fine
