So I thought I buddy was full of it a few weeks ago when he said he was having sinus issues from the lake. The last two times I've gone out I get so congested. I talked with another guy and he said the same thing. Anyone know what is up with the lake?

At the local Lake Nacimiento, we call that Nac Rot. It's nasty and if you get a few heads full of water that shizz will happen.

I got that going now from hitting the D twice in 4 days, I don't even want to know what kind of bacterias and crazy organisms live in there that could cause a sinus infection. The Buta makes it worth it!

That's interesting. I often get super congested on Folsom, too. A lot more than I do up here at Sly Park. I thought it was just me, but I guess not.

This is a standard thing for me in the delta. Now I take a few claritin before hand and as soon as I get home I do a delta douche of my sinuses with salt water. Than cleared up by morning.

Adam- Sly Park is pretty clean all the time. The main problem is that, especially with the water as low as it is right now, if you get more than a couple of boats out there it becomes complete chop. I was just up there yesterday and it was just me and pure (freezing) glass, no one else. Normally I don't tell people about the glass, but this time of year very few people make the trip up, so it doesn't get too crowded. Feel free to come give it a try. Just don't tell anyone else

Just to add to the folsom bashing.. The fish above the reservoir, south fork at least, are known to get bacterial infections that cause anal prolapse.

Cheers,
DC

Who knows whats in Folsom... If you ride there long enough you get immune to it.

I drink that water and wash out open wounds with it.
