We finally got a surfable wave with stock ballast and 2 people on the passenger side. Had to slow down to 9mph to get enough push to drop the rope.

Any ideas for adding weight or speed/setups in order to get more from the boat?

I know it's not a top notch wake machine but it's what we are working with regularly.

We have an 05 malibu sporster. What I've found is 9 mph with 400 on surf side and as much weight in back as possible is butter zone. Faster or slower depending on gas level. Other than that. Hang ten it all the way man! Big board with a small guy works best.
