Well, the original thread ended up in the archives so I had to write a new one for the update. This was about my knee popping out of place as I landed (perfectly, I might add) a big 180. This happened May 30th.

I went to a private clinic and finally got my MRI results today. Not good.

- Complete ACL tear
- Partial tears of collateral ligaments, both internal and external
- Torn meniscus (SP?)
- Patelar Chondromalacy (Whatever that means)

Funny thing is that I'm able to walk! I've got a slight limp, but it feels like it's imporving daily. I'll be seeing the orthopedist next week and I hope it won't be too bad. Also, I'll be picking up my knee brace this afternoon.

Man, that sucks!

oh man.... hope ya get better soon man! i have a strange feeling you tore some of your patellar cartilage, or at least i'm pretty sure thats what your Patelar Chondromalacy means. Chond- i'm pretty sure is a prefix for cartilage. So you wont know when your due for surgery till you see that orthopedist NEXT WEEK?? oh man...

Santa, the good part about it is that you can walk. If you elect to have surgery (which sounds impending) then you can keep that leg from atrophy-ing and have a MUCH faster recovery and therapy time. Sorry to hear about the injury, good luck and heal up quick!
