I personally thought the AZ Boat Show is really weak. I have gone for the last 3 years now. All the boat displays are weak, with many showing old boats! I think the MC display had a few of the EXACT same boats as the previous years, with only a few 09's on the floor. I have lived in PHX, Boise and Portland, and have to say the Portland show is BY FAR the best, and even Boise is better than PHX. I don;t get it though, PHX is a much better city than Boise, and the riding season is much longer.... mhmmm... I'm confused. VERY FEW vendors had booths also. I used to look forward to buying gear at the shows.... I have NEVER bought anything from PHX Show... Not trying to hate, just my thoughts.

Funny how that happens when someone pays or sponsers you...

Kind of the same way Randall said Malibu was the shizznitt, but now Axis is, when he actually had to get a boat without a sponsership he chose a SAN 210... It's funny how money or other incentives make a board ride better.

Or maybe it is the best board he has ever been on, it fits his style perfect. Also should probably learn how to spell sponsor right before you call somebody out on dumb sh*t.
Old     (krazywake)      Join Date: Oct 2007       02-05-2009, 6:56 PM Reply
I definitely agree with Joe, Larry's style lends itself perfectly to a flex board. It's not just coincidence that he likes it. Larry was putting that board through its paces on that rail!
Old     (wakeparent)      Join Date: Jan 2005       02-05-2009, 7:01 PM Reply
wow for one iam not getting payed. two i was sponsored by a non flex board company, (getting a few boards from them) now willingly switching not because i had to but because i wanted to. slingshot is the best for me because i do a lot of rail riding and it was my opinion. i am not telling you its the best board for you.

Larry

Hey everyone, I lost my team jersey that im rockin in the pics above while down there. Pretty sure it fell off the top railing of the pool deck when it was windy on sun. I searched everywhere all day with no luck so if anyone comes across it please let me know. This (24/7 Oneill) Surf & Skate Sacramento CA. jersey has alot of meaning to me since it is a one of a kind and was a dedication to my friend that passed in 2003 Ryan Shreve. Someone may have picked it up and kept it not knowing the significance to me, so please keep your eyes out for this shirt in Arizona. I will soon have a similar one made but I still would like to have this one back for the memories of a great friend.
